The Independent Theatre Workshop has over 25 years experience in teaching the performing arts to students aged 3 to Adult! We have schools in Clonskeagh and Ranelagh as well as our venue in the fabulous creative space that is The Art & Business Campus, Drumcondra. ITW Studios Drumcondra started in 2004 and moved to this space in September 2014 and this year renovated our space to include purpose built facilities which include a fabulous Dance Studios, a Drama Studio, a Singing studio and Speech & Drama room and reception area. 

 

We are enjoying the challenge and enormous satisfaction of building up our school here and are offering classes on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the moment.

 

While the main focus of our school is to build imagination, self-confidence, communication, creativity and social skills in our young learners and provide a safe and happy space for them to grow, there is also the opportunity to take their performing arts to the next level if they wish. 

 

Performance opportunities abound in our Junior Shakespeare Company, our Youth Theatre, our Musical Theatre Companies and our Dance Companies who also compete at national and international level.

 

Our students excel in Speech and Drama, Dance and Singing exams with various examining boards including the Leinster School of Music & Drama, LAMDA, The Irish Board of Speech & Drama.

 

Many of our students go on to study the performing arts at third level, many of our students have been accepted on to the prestigious LIR drama degree and diploma courses at Trinity College. We also have students studying in international institutions including LAMDA, Bristol Old Vic, Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts in Boston, The Royal Scottish Conservatoire as well as various Irish colleges.
